The Christmas goose to pick up was great and the little sweet gift addition was a nice rounding off.

I've been a regular there since I've lived in Forstenried. The food is always excellent, the staff friendly and courteous through and through. You are not anonymized and you also like to be served a schnapps. The New Year's Eve menu was great, we thank you for that. The instructions were made very lovingly. Especially the dessert was very good. Even in Corona times, I was very surprised by the creativity of the old landlord. Pick-up service, drive-in and social media were all represented in a very short time. That is why I am always happy to support the Alte Wirt, even during this time. Sincerely, Brunner

The drive-in is great: roast pork is served spontaneously, the rest of the menu should be ordered 30-20 minutes in advance by telephone. Was handed over quickly every time, well packed (the staff too - wear an exemplary mask) and still warm to eat at home. Roast pork, duck and braised roast have a generous amount of sauce with them. The old landlord is absolutely right in terms of price - this complaining about prices is getting increasingly bad in Munich ... Want quality, but not pay for it?

We are excited about the Drive In Service!

Tested the drive in today. Call 20 minutes beforehand, then go there and the food will be ready. Went on site super quickly. The food was still very hot at home and tasted delicious. Big portion.

Great even during corona times. Food ordered 20 minutes in advance by phone. And then picked up in the drive in (via the parking lot) without getting out. The food was very good. Gladly again!

Picked up delicious roast pork and Schwabenpfandl at the drive in at lunchtime today. I was very excited that not everything was packed in styrofoam and plastic! But in environmentally friendly packaging. The salad was fresh and crisp as usual. The food was delicious and still warm .. gladly again and again, hold on please! A big thank you to the kitchen and the friendly staff!

Spoiled the beautiful evening! So far I've been quite satisfied with the old landlord. The fact that an order goes wrong is not that bad and can happen. Just like it happened about three months ago. But if it happens on Saint Martin's Day, where the Saint Martin's goose only comes out once a year, then it's more than annoying. Especially if you order one day in advance! So the anticipation was immediately gone when we found out at the highly praised drive-in that they had "messed up" the order. In all honesty, dessert doesn't help at all to make amends. Luckily there was a very good Bavarian pub nearby where we could get a delicious dinner. Unfortunately, the old landlord has had its day.

You can eat very well here. Not cheap but delicious.

Super great Bavarian cuisine. Nice ambience, great menu. Prices are high compared to others, but the quality of the food makes up for it. Very nice staff, friendly service. I can recommend it, parking is available. I was there on Sunday evening, the place was full. It is advisable to make a reservation, I was lucky enough to get a table.

Had roast pork and cheese sparrows. Both tasted ok but not appropriate for the pricing. It's ok but not a must.

Great rustic Bavarian restaurant with great cuisine. Good service. We recommend. Parking behind the restaurant. There is even a roast pork drive in.

Delicious. The roast pork and the Schwabenpfanderl were super tasty and ready within 10 minutes. The salad was fresh and with a delicious dressing. The service staff quick and friendly. Absolutely successful. We will definitely be back.

Tasty schnitzel with perfect fried potato at side, and amazing duck. You should taste both!

Price performance okay Food okay We felt a bit like mc Donalds. During the meal plates were cleared away and the waitress said after shards on the floor that they cleaned everything anyway in the evening and left them there. Can have been an isolated case, therefore only a star deduction

First stop in Munich, great food and great beer. Authentic locale

I was here for the first time today, even if I have passed it very often, which I will do again in the future ... ;-) Because the food, Pfifferlingsram with bread dumplings and salad was so tasteless, that even the seasoning with salt and pepper could not pimp the food. The fact that instead of the ordered dessert "Panna Cotta", the service decided that we better eat the tiny chocolate mousse you should not even apologized for the demands or brought the Panna Cotta brings more prints. Since there are enough better beer gardens and economies in Munich and the surrounding area, you do not necessarily have to go there. At least I do not do it anymore.

Beautiful traditional Bavarian Gaststätte. Very polite and competent staff. And most importantly, fine variety of both traditional Bavarian and more modern food. At moderate prices, the food is really excellent.

The menu quite poor. How in Germany a restaurant might not have a pigs-knuckles and fried cabbage. Also the stuff wasn't very friendly. When we asked if they have pizza as our kids asked for it the waiter replied that for pizza we can go to the pizzeria on the other side of the street.

Great pork roast and other Bavarian specialties. Also, tasty asparagus dishes are served during season. The inside is very traditional Bavarian style and can hold a huge crowd. The beer garden unfortunately is located right next to a busy road which makes it a notch less enjoyable than other venues in the area. The owner seems to be very eager to improve his dishes and is gathering feedback from his visitors in person. Very nice touch. Apparently the meat balls are spectacular - will try the next time.

Like the beer garden and can recommend the Knödel-Trio. Owner wasn't particularly friendly, but maybe she had an off night.

A very nice evening, had some friends over from Australia for some traditional German food. We had some duck deer and pork. All excellent food. We'll come again.
